Hello Love Village!
It looks like you’re interested in changing the recovery factor on Web3Auth. Unfortunately, it seems there’s no SDK details specified. However, not to worry! You can typically manage your recovery factor through Web3Auth’s user settings.
To change your recovery factor, follow these steps:
- Access your Web3Auth dashboard: Log in to your application where Web3Auth is integrated.
- Navigate to user settings: Look for account or security settings within the application.
- Find recovery options: Here, you should see options related to your recovery factor.
For specific guidance, you might also want to refer to the Web3Auth documentation related to user management and recovery factors.
If there’s something specific in the image you uploaded that I missed, feel free to provide further details or let me know if you have any other questions!

Plesse i have my recovery passphrase but i still can’t use it to login to a new device
What could be wrong?
Did you find your recovery passphrase in the same email as the one you use in your primary login? @uchechukwuvictor5
Yes it is absolutely the same email i found the passphrase
Hey @uchechukwuvictor5,
If you found a recovery phrase in the mailbox of your primary social login email, it’s very likely from another dapp.
Many apps have integrated Web3Auth, and for some of them, your current email might’ve been used as the alternate recovery email—not the primary login. So that recovery phrase would not be valid for the current dapp or session you’re trying to recover.
Again, we don’t allow sending the recovery phrase to the same email as the one used for primary login, since that would defeat the purpose of MFA. If someone hijacks your inbox, they’d bypass all your security layers.
Thought as much
Cus i tried creating another one to which i requested the passphrase and it was sent to another email
Then i tried logging in with the newly given phrase and still didn’t work
