Is Microsoft login method still working?

I don’t know where should I post this so I’m putting it in general

I’m a dev(in general, haven’t been using web3auth), also a testnet user of tea protocol(which used web3auth as the auth layer), at the beginning I chose MS(outlook) as my OAuth method, and one day it said I have to verify MFA without being aware that I enabled that(or to say, adding a factor other than browser fingerprint, which is lost when I reinstall Windows). What’s worse is that this page broke later, left an error saying failed to obtain access token).

Tea devs said this is a upstream issue from web3auth(the “failed to obtain access token” issue). So I went web3auth dc server & dev doc for info, I didn’t get any result by searching Microsoft but I see a article showing how to intergrate MS OAuth with web3auth.

And I saw @Jasper in DC server said To access and manage your MFA: https://account.web3auth.io/, SO I was thinking I can somehow do something but there was no Microsoft login method button, is it deprecated/bugged? or just not integrated in account.we3auth.io?

So my quesiton is:
1> Is Microsoft OAuth still a thing?
2> Was Tea dev right?
2> Am I still able to recover my account MFA when 1 is true and 2 is “fixed”?

Hello there! It sounds like you’re facing a bit of a challenge with the Microsoft login method via Web3Auth on the Tea protocol. I totally get how this can be confusing. Let’s break it down:

  1. Microsoft OAuth Availability: As you mentioned, there is documentation on integrating Microsoft OAuth with Web3Auth, which suggests it should still be supported. However, the absence of a Microsoft login button on the Web3Auth account page may imply a temporary issue or an integration detail specific to the Tea protocol. It’s best to check with direct Web3Auth support for the most current status.

  2. Tea Dev’s Statement: It could be possible that the issue is upstream from the Web3Auth side if it’s affecting multiple users using Microsoft OAuth. However, more details from Web3Auth would clarify this better.

  3. Recovering Account MFA: If the Microsoft OAuth issue is indeed confirmed and resolved, you should normally be able to recover your account MFA settings. For now, make sure to have any other possible verification details handy and stay tuned for a resolution from Web3Auth.

I suggest reaching out directly to Web3Auth’s support, mentioning the specific error you’re encountering (failed to obtain access token) and your inquiry about Microsoft OAuth. They’d be in the best position to resolve this.

If there are any logs, screenshots, or detailed error messages you can share related to the MFA issue, those would be useful to forward to them as well. This will support a quicker resolution. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help!

Note: This response was generated by an AI bot and may require further verification. The Web3Auth support team has tracked this issue and will be responding as soon as possible.

Hey, sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I’m able to reproduce the issue of Failed to obtain access token, we’ll talk with team and get back to you.

Also, for reseting the MFA you can fill up the form, and we’ll help you with MFA recovery. MFA Recovery

Thanks for reaching out!

It’s been like half year so I’ve forgotten what the situation was actually.
I’ll be waiting till the access token issue fixed and able to check what’s wrong with MFA.
