Migrate data between verifiers

I’m using a social login verifier (google) for my website
But now, I am developing a native application, and I will need to create a new google credential & verifier for ios app.

I understand that if I use different verifiers, users will get different addresses. Even if I migrate to the Aggregate verifier, old users in my website will not be able to access their old address

Can Web3auth team help me migrate the old verifier to be sub verifier of the aggregate verifier? This is really critical, because there are many users already deposit their money into the address they get from the website

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out. I understand the critical nature of migrating users so they retain access to their addresses as you move from web to a native application.

You are right that using different verifiers can lead to different addresses for the users. Fortunately, by using an Aggregate verifier, you can unify these logins. However, converting your existing verifier into a sub-verifier under the Aggregate verifier is something that requires direct support from the Web3Auth team.

Here’s what you can do next:

  1. Contact Support: I recommend directly contacting Web3Auth support with your request to assist you in making the existing verifier a sub-verifier of an Aggregate verifier. This is something that may need backend adjustments and coordination with their team.

  2. Explore Developer Documentation: Meanwhile, check out the Web3Auth documentation for more information about verifiers, including setting up Aggregate verifiers. This can help prepare you with any details or settings you might need to know.

  3. Forum Discussion: You can also explore the Web3Auth Community Forum to see if other developers have faced similar transitions and what solutions they undertook.

Please let me know if there’s anything else you’d need help with or if there’s more information I can provide!
