Wallet Connect not working : proposal expired (metamask use case)

We’re getting a wallet connect proposal expired error when we’re trying to login using metamask.

Steps to reproduce this error.
Click ‘Connect with Wallet’ and wait for wallet connect qr code appeared and click Metamask icon to login, it should logged in with metamask.
And 5 mins later you can see this error.

We use web3auth 7.2.0, but still the same.

We’ve tried many approaches mentioned in other tickets but all are not working in our case, even web3auth’s demo app is getting the same error.
We’re looking forward a solution asap.

I’ve encountered the same error and I’ve disabled wallet connect on my dApp for now

unfortunately it has been closed somehow

Hi @JulienRousset I also tried to disable wallet connect.
But if we disable it, we cannot use even metamask on mobile browser.
Otherwise, if we enable wallet connect again, I can see other wallet options like metamask, trust wallet on mobile

@here Quick update: The fix is now live. Thanks everyone for your patience! I’ve just finished testing it on my local setup. To resolve the issue, please upgrade your packages to the latest version. This should take care of it. Let me know if you run into any more hiccups.
