Auth0 'no id token found' / "Failed Exchange" on sapphire_devnet

I am using the quickstart from Web3Auth/web3auth-core-kit-examples/single-factor-auth-web/sfa-web-auth0-example. I have replaced the clientId, and setup the tenant in Auth0 dashboard. When I click the login button, the popup opens and closes instantly with the message ‘No id token found’. I use “google-oauth2” instead of “github” as in the quickstart example.

Reading the Auth0 logs I see this error:

Demo works well with supplied ids but replacing them and deploying to sapphire_devnet instead of mainnet causes the issue.
