Thanks for reaching out, Alamin! I understand you’re having trouble updating your recovery phrase and social login, and you’re still seeing the old prompt despite making changes in your dashboard. Let’s summarize your issue for the support team:

Issue Summary

  • Issue: Updated recovery phrase and social login, but still getting the old prompt. Unable to log in due to lost old recovery phrase and login factors. Updates in dashboard did not resolve the issue.
  • SDK/Platform: Plug n Play (PnP) – platform not specified (could be React Native, iOS, Android, Unity, or Flutter).
  • Actions Taken: Tried updating account in the dashboard, but changes are not reflected during login.
  • Error Details: Still being prompted for old recovery phrase and login factors.

Next Steps & Questions

To help the support team investigate further, could you please provide:

  1. Platform Details: Are you using Web3Auth Plug n Play on React Native, iOS, Android, Unity, or Flutter?
  2. Login Flow: Are you using a custom authentication provider (custom verifier), or the default Web3Auth social login?
  3. Screenshots (if possible): If you see any error messages or prompts, sharing a screenshot would be helpful.
  4. Web3Auth Initialization & Login Code (if available): If you have access to the code where you initialize and call the login, please share the relevant snippets.

Possible Solution/Information

  • If you are using dApp Share or custom authentication, please ensure you are passing the updated dApp Share (24-word recovery phrase) during login, as described in the dApp Share documentation.
  • If you are using standard verifiers, recovery phrase updates may not propagate instantly or may require additional steps.
  • If you lost access to both your old recovery phrase and social login, and updates in the dashboard are not taking effect, there may be a sync issue or a need for manual intervention by support.

Once you provide the above details, the support team will be able to assist you more effectively. Thank you for your patience!
