Mail authentication no longer working

Dear Team,

The mail connection I was using for some times suddenly stopped working.
When putting my mail I never receive the 6-digit code on it (that I was receiving before on it).

Some points to consider:

  • The mail address is thomas@francillette.fr
  • I already checked spam and any restrictions and nothing is blocking it
  • The mail address is a custom domain address based on the mail delmartf@free.fr (this one is receiving the mails for info, but as it is not the original mail entered in the account I cannot use it as it is).¨

Could you please help me and check if something is blocking the sending to thomas@francillette.fr on your side. I cannot access something important for some times now…

Thanks in advance

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the trouble with email authentication. To assist you better, I’ve gathered some key information from your message:

  • Issue: Email authentication isn’t working; the 6-digit code is not being received.
  • Email Address: thomas@francillette.fr
  • Background: The email with the custom domain does not receive the code, although another mail (delmartf@free.fr) does. You’ve already checked spam and ensured there are no restrictions.

To solve this issue, our team will have to check if there are any blocks on our side. Meanwhile, please ensure you’re using the correct verifier in your integration code. You might want to look at your Web3Auth email login method configuration to make sure everything is set up correctly.

If you have access to your developer dashboard or your initialization code where the verifier is set up, please double-check that part. You can find useful documentation on setting up email logins here: Web3Auth Email Login Setup.

I’ll flag this for our support team to review any possible blocks or issues with your specified email. If you have any additional snippets or console screenshots, those might be very helpful to speed up the process.

Let’s ensure this gets resolved swiftly so you can gain access to everything you need!

Best regards.

Hello @thomas.francillette
We’re experiencing the same issue on our end.
Were you able to find a solution?

Thanks.

Unfortunately not at the moment…

Can you please elaborate on this part, I do not understand how this mail address based on another email address?

Hi ! I cannot tell you the details but my understanding is that the@francillette.fr is a kind of layer of @free.fr

I only use the @francilllette.fr in all communications. By the way I received your test mail and just answered.

As this address is not super common I usually end up in spams, so maybe it is not recognized anymore as something valid by the system and not sending

Hello, were you able to further check this problem ?

Hey @thomas.francillette
Do you mean by the “layer” that the email has been aliased?
By that time let me get it checked via engg team why this could not be getting the codes.
Also, has this been working in the past and has it stopped working now?
Lastly, is the login working with any other email?

Hi ! I don’t know in details but the alias looks like what I have. And indeed it was working in the past and also currently working with other email.

Another odd thing, I tried to connect on web3auth community profile with thomas@francillette.fr and hours later I did receive a code by mail (see attached). I have tried again in the app in case but no success…

Hi @maharshi, were you able to find more on my issue?

Hi @maharshi, any more information required from my side? I still have the issue
