About Mintice
Mintice is a digital goods marketplace that enables creators to tokenize limited-edition digital souvenirs for their fans. These mints can only be sold and bought for a fixed amount of time, making them an on-chain memento of special events such as anniversaries, album releases, concerts, and many more.
- Token-Gated Content
Tokens sold on Mintice can be used to gate exclusive content that can only be accessed by purchasers. Special fan content can range from short videos, hand-drawn illustrations, a setlist, and an off-stage shot– secured by an extra layer of protection for the creator’s copyrights.
- Digital Assets as Soul-bound Tokens (SBT)
The mementos are non-transferrable and purchases are recorded on-chain so they cannot be tampered with.
- Withdraw Earnings in Traditional Platforms
Mintice provides easy offramping for creators as their earnings can be transferred to their registered Stripe account and then to their bank account.
Mintice’s Integration with Web3Auth
Mintice uses Web3Auth’s Plug-and-Play NoModal SDK that creates a wallet and stores part of the key to their socials, in either their Google or their X account. The PnP’s redirect flow also brings the users straight to onboarding right after logging in, completely abstracting away the wallet creation process from the user.
The wallet is then accessible in the user’s profile page and earnings can be managed and withdrawn in Stripe. Through Web3Auth’s PnP, Mintice was able to keep the user dashboard experience frictionless while keeping the user informed about their self-custodial wallet.
Issue Encountered:
Mintice has encountered a UX issue where the user has no way to log out.
Recommendations
We recommend upgrading the PnP no-modal to the latest version to be able to provide the users an easy flow for logging out. They can also change the modal theme to light mode and so that it matches the site’s visuals better.
