Hi, Web3Auth community,
I wanted to ask if you have any plans to support roaming authenticators/hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor, Yubikey, …) as a way to perform passwordless authentication?
Thanks,
-F

@felix Welcome Aboard!
Your feedback will be forwarded to our team as a Feature Request but there is no estimate when or if it will be supported anytime soon.
Thanks a lot for the quick reply @vjgee. This is good to know.
In the meantime, do you know if it is possible to use WebAuthn with Web3Auth? I didn’t find any useful information on that matter.
I’m asking because some roaming authenticators, such as Ledger, have FIDO2/WebAuthn apps that can be used.
Thanks!
I will check with our Dev team and get back to you with an update.
Currently, there is no support for Webauthn with Web3auth directly. However, if you really need this feature , you may upgrade to our Enterprise plan and our team will be able to setup it up as it is a complex process.
We will also release passkeys support at the end of September.
Hi @vjgee, the end of September is approaching! I quickly wanted to follow-up on this topic. Are you still planning on releasing passkeys support?
@felix This request has been extended to the end of the October. If I receive any news, I will be sure to update.

@felix Sorry for the delay.
Our team updated that this would be available for Plug n Play SDK by mid of January next year. However, Passkeys are available right now on MPC Core kit for Enterprise plan customers if you wish to explore that option.
Hi @vjgee, would you be able to point me to a Passkey implementation example. I am looking to implement Passkey as an authentication method on iOS.
@nlobue Passkeys are available right now on MPC Core kit for Enterprise plan customers if you wish to explore that option. You can connect with our Business Team Calendly - Web3Auth
We do not have any official documentation for passkey support for Plug n Play SDK as it is yet to be made available. You can follow this page Announcements - Web3Auth Community for updates.
Thanks @vjgee, the Enterprise MPC Core Kit for iOS is one which I am exploring. I will reach out the business team for more info
Hi @vjgee , do you have an update on the availability of this feature in the Plug n Play SDK?
Thanks,
