This is a question about how users can get their ETH back if the app website disappears

Hi,
I’m using GoodCrypto recently, and their wallet address is handled by web3auth.
This afternoon I asked a question in their telegram group, which is how users can get their ETH back if the goodcrypto team disappears and GoodCrypto cannot be accessed.
They replied that they can contact web3auth to handle it. I didn’t find any relevant content on your website, so I’d like to ask here, if a similar situation occurs, how can users of this website contact you to solve their wallet address login and how to get their ETH back?

@best Welcome Aboard!

It really depends how GoodCrypto have implemented their dapp with Web3Auth. Can you share from where you got this information that we will be able to recover their account?

Hi, vjgee,
Thanks for your reply.
The account is normal now.
I just want to ask if there is a possibility of recovering the account and how to recover it if some small probability event happens in the future (such as the team disappears and the app website cannot be accessed).
Because I plan to use the service of this app in depth and deposit a large amount of coins into it, I have to consider the existence of various risks. I hope you understand.
At present, I don’t have more information about this app. So I can’t get more information from you now, right?

@best Thanks for your reply.

Whenever you create an account with Web3Auth, your private key is split into multiple factors secured behind your social account/email.

If you still have your Social Login or Email ID/Password, then you would just need any two of factors to recover access to the account. One being your actual login and the other being an authorized device earlier used to access your wallet or the recovery phrase.

The Recovery Phrase is a mnemonic passphrase made up of 24 words. It acts as a backup, ensuring that you can always access your funds. Our team are working on buidling a self-service web interface to enable this access. Once it is launched you will be notified about the same.
