Torus compatibility

I have the same issue, using the latest SDK and SAPPHIRE-MAINNET with Torus compatible enabled, yet no account shows for my project when logging in with the same method at app.tor.us or app.openlogin.com

@chocolate482 If you’re using interoperability with Torus Wallet on the dashboard settings, you need to use Web3Auth in the mainnet network only not Sapphire Mainnet.

But it says that Legacy Mainnet has been deprecated and all users have been migrated to Sapphire Mainnet, is that not true?

Can I use Legacy Mainnet still? Or will it lose all support soon?

Legacy Mainnet will continue to exist and is migrated to Sapphire. However, for Torus Interoperability, you need to choose mainnet as the environment.

Okay thanks for your help! I will try it.

Are you sure though that Legacy Mainnet will be good to use for the forseeable future without causing issues for us?

Will new legacy mainnet users also be migrated to Sapphire?

  • Retaining our distributed architecture means the same unparalleled level of security and fault tolerance in the system. In its three years of operation, our legacy mainnet has never gone down - and we can expect the same or even better guarantees for Sapphire

Yes but I refer to Legacy Mainnet since your site says it is deprecated now. And also ask about if our new users on Legacy Mainnet will also be migrated to Sapphire, or the migration is finished now?

Where are you getting this information from? Can you share?

Migrations to Sapphire Network Were you able to refer to this link ? This is for Mainnet i.e. Legacy Mainnet itself. Since mainnet is already migrated, new users will be on Sapphire via Legacy Mainnet. The migration is complete long back.

Keep in mind that the environment to use Torus Interoperability is Legacy Mainnet only. Do not think of switching later to another environment after setting it up. Different Private Keys/ Wallet Address across Integrations | Documentation | Web3Auth

It says this in the dashboard when creating a new project.

You can still choose Legacy Mainnet for Torus Wallet Interoperability. There are several applications still on Legacy Mainnet so there is no need to switch to Sapphire and users were automatically migrated.

Does this mean that if I create an account today using Legacy Mainnet it will also be created on Sapphire Mainnet? So I can login then using either network after that?

No , you cannot login via Sapphire network. Please read the information on why you should not change the network

But isn’t that the point of the migration from Legacy to Sapphire? Otherwise what does the migration mean for users?

Please understand to use Torus Interoperablity the network/environment should be Legacy Mainnet although it is migrated internally to Saphhire, mainnet & sapphire_mainnet are 2 different production environment with different nodes.

If you are still not clear, you can schedule a call with our business team: Calendly - Web3Auth

I think what you are saying is that Legacy Mainnet is now using the new Sapphire infrastructure, but with the Legacy Mainnet verifier? Is that correct?

Yes, that is correct.

Thank you for your help and patience!

Do you know if there are any plans to create a similar system as app.openlogin.com for user private key retrieval for the Sapphire Mainnet in the future? Or will this remain just for the Legacy Mainnet users?

I will forward your feedback to our Product team for future consideration. However, there is no estimate if or when it will be available.
