Torus <> Guild.XYZ and Collab.Land Issue

Dear Web3Auth-Team,

We are using torus-embed v4.1.3 and are having trouble connecting to Guild.XYZ and Collab.land via wallet connect. I tried it with both and in both cases I am getting an error when trying to verify the connected wallet. Below are screenshots of the two errors from the platforms.

Guild.xyz:

Collab.land:

Is there anything we need to change to enable this functionality?
Thanks and all the best!

Hi @clemens,

I think the RPCs you are trying to use are down. Please check them with this link:

Hi Tom,
thanks for your response. I am not sure I understand tho. Maybe you can elaborate.

I am trying to connect to WalletConnect via the app.tor.us interface to the two services (collab.land and guild.xyz). I don’t think we are setting the RPC anywhere there for Torus. If we are, please point me to where that would be.

Adding the screenshot of where I am using the wallet connect functionality. Its at the right next to the wallet address.

Best,
Clem

Hi @TomTom,

I had another look at it and changed the RPC used on app.tor.us via the network selector. However, even when switching to the standard Mainnet Ethereum RPC or Polygon RPC given by Torus it doesn’t seem to work. Also when trying to connect, I get a popup that guilXYZ proposes to add a new Ethereum RPC to it. When I decline it it always pops up again. The guildXYZ walletConnect modal continues to error out.

Is there anything else I can try on my end?

Hi @clemens,

please send me the new errors.

Hi @TomTom,
Here a loom video from the process with console logs: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom

I start out with the polygon network selected. Than I connect to Guild.xyz. Following it asks me to switch to Ethereum Mainnet. Which I first deny but because it keeps on poping up I approve. Than it asks me to add a custom RPC. Which I also first deny. It keeps on poping up until I have I confirm it which also leads to it erroring out.

If this process works for you, please share a video with what settings work for you. I don’t seem to get a connection between the tools running. Same thing for collab.land.

Hi @clemens,
I can see the problem with your site, but without your repository is very difficult to help you more. Please verify if you are adding all the blockchain before switching.

There is an updated demo in https://github.com/torusresearch/torus-embed/tree/develop/examples/vue-app

You can try it online: https://demo-eth.tor.us/
