Hi everyone, I wasn’t able to find any in-depth details about Verifier transferring and want to know if it’s possible to transfer a verifier that is running inside the Cyan Network.
As it seems by looking into the Dashboard and the available options, transferring seems to be possible only for verifier running on Testnet. Is it the right assumption?
If I’m building an application that could or could not live long enough, how can I guarantee to the customers (b2b customers) that Social will keep working even if I decide to cancel the project? Transferring the verifier to another account, thus enabling them to have their own solution for account retrieval seems to be the logical answer, but would that be possible at all?
Please note that these networks (testnet, mainnet, cyan, aqua, and celeste ) are Web3Auth networks and are used for key generations and not blockchain calls. Each network will result in different keys for your user.
Testnets are for testing, and keys are unstable at times and can change. Mainnet (mainnet, cyan, aqua and celeste) keys are constant and meant for production use.
So, the question is can we transfer the verifier?
Technically, yes, but as stated above, it will result in different keys for your user. That is why we recommend starting your project with testnet once tested and ready for production, please use one of the mainnet networks to create a new verifier with the same name.

Verifiers are attached to your account, as far as your under-free plan usage, your verifiers will be active. Else your users won’t be able to use the login. Check our pricing to see the usage.

Transferring the verifier to another account or team is possible.
So, if I got it right, if I have a running verifier in production networks (cyan, for instance) and I want to transfer it to another account I would be able to do so despite “Transfer Verifier” not being a available option within Verifiers menu, right?
In such cases, since the verifier is the same (exactly the same), I would expected the addresses to also be the same, regardless of who’s the owner of the verifier. Is it right?
Finally, when required to transfer a production verifier, should I contact you guys?
