Web3Auth Discord looks abandoned, Users posting spam links as "support tickets"

Hey guys, I know that there was a mention of moving all developer help requests into the community hub; however, the w3a discord is still open. Therefore, there are users who are requesting help, and scammers are replying with phishing links as “open a support ticket here.”

One developer mentioned that the tech (and discord) looked abandoned, and that he was unsure of whether web3auth was still a viable option.

I understand the desire to retain the discord as a way of propagating information; however, it needs to get some moderation. My recommendation would be to lock down users to prevent them from sending links, so that it is just a chat room, and to put more clear instructions that developer help should get moved here, into the community hub.

Hi @dev12,

Thanks for bringing the issue to our attention. Rest assured, we’ve taken appropriate action against the person responsible. Going forward, we’ll handle incidents like these with the utmost care. Also, I wanted to mention that we’ve recently shifted to a forum-based community support system to improve tracking and visibility and minimize repetitive queries.
