Missing email passwordless in LoginType

  • SDK Version: 6.2.1
  • Platform: Android

I am using CustomAuth and want to implement login via email_passwordless, but it is missing in LoginType. When will it be added to the library?

Hey Hasher Android! Thanks for reaching out and for sharing the details. It sounds like you’re looking for the email_passwordless option in the tKey Android SDK (v6.2.1) under LoginType, but it isn’t currently available. We’ll pass this along as a feature request to the product team.

In the meantime, if there’s anything else about your current setup you’d like to share (e.g., the high-level code snippet for your CustomAuth flow), feel free to let us know. Otherwise, we’ll keep you posted on any updates regarding adding email_passwordless to the Android library. Appreciate your patience!

Hey @avada.hasher.mobile

I’d recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of the tKey SDK. The email_passwordless login type has been exposed in the recent version and hence you are not able to find it in your current version.

I am using Android SDK (org.torusresearch:customauth-android-sdk) and currently the latest version is 6.2.1 and it is missing email_passwordless login type

Unfortunately, the email passwordless feature will not be available in the upcoming CustomAuth Android SDK due to our decision to discontinue its direct development. However, you can utilize our PnP Android SDK for this feature: Web3Auth PnP Android SDK | Documentation | Web3Auth.

Furthermore, we have discontinued support for the CustomAuth Android SDK from our end. We strongly recommend that you consider using either SFA or PnP Mobile SDKs: Web3Auth Native Mobile SDKs | Documentation | Web3Auth.

I have another question, if you don’t support CustomAuth, will you support the CoreKit tKey Android SDK?

Unfortunately that SDK is no longer officially supported as well.
